Houston, We Have a [Sprawl] Problem

Welcome to my blog, Saving the Houston Piney Woods: A Conservation Journey. Here I write about the Piney Woods on the northeastern edges of Houston, which threaten to disappear due to sprawling urban development. My goals include: discussing the urban benefits of an intact forest that can help Houston; sharing the beauty of the remaining Piney Woods; showing how an entirely deforested land impacts people and ecosystems; and reviewing any books or articles out there that may be relevant to this blog.
