Hello, it’s a pleasure to meet you! I love writing and want to help protect Texas trees for future generations to enjoy. I hail from the West Coast and moved to Texas in 2013, coming from a land of eucalyptus groves and Torrey pines to the great oaks and longleaf pines that southeast Texas is known for.

The purpose of this blog is to illuminate what immense value intact forests, such as the Piney Woods, provide to urban places like the Greater Houston region. My hope is to educate and inspire readers everywhere to protect our beautiful trees.

When I’m not blogging, you can find me working on my novel, walking in the neighborhood, or perusing local thrift shops.
